Branch Safety Inspector

CentiMark Ltd. is looking for an experienced Branch Safety Inspector in Burnaby to join our team. For over 29 years, CentiMark Ltd has been growing its operation through Canada as well as its workforce. We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals for a rewarding career in the commercial roofing industry. Onsite safety and job training are provided.
 
This role is paying $60k - $70k plus annually.

Candidate Requirements:
  • NCSO in Safety or 1-3 years Safety experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of OHS regulations
  • Must have good working knowledge of roofing procedures and safety
  • Valid Driver’s License in good standing required 
  • 3 years roofing/ construction experience preferred
  • Strong investigative and communication /writing skills
  • Superb problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Overnight traveling to include out-of-town stays required
  • Excellent follow up skills

Job Summary:
  • Complete investigations for Worker’s Compensation, General Liability and Auto Liability claims
  • Compile, complete and enter required safety data in company database
  • Compile and maintain safety documentation for COR certification program
  • Conduct internal COR audits to maintain compliance requirements
  • Monitor and manager fleet compliance
  • Manage Safety equipment purchases and distribution
  • Administer Disciplinary Action Plan for all Safety Violations
  • Project Safety set up, Inspections and Awareness/ Training
  • Assist in setting up fall protection, pre-job inspections and job planning meetings
  • Sign off on all deck replacement fall protection plans
  • Perform safety inspections on all crews (including Service) to check compliance
  • Check Fall Plans, Toolbox Talks and other safety documents to be on site
  • Address all safety violations in compliance with CentiMark Ltd Safety Rules or Policy
  • Review inspections with crews and cover safety awareness messages
  • Report on inspection results on a weekly basis to the Regional Manager
  • Serious violations must be reported immediately
  • Assist in conducting Monthly & Quarterly training meetings
